About Us
Who are we?
The store was created to provide a shopping place for dog-related items while offering the buyer an opportunity to share a portion of the revenue from that sale with a participating Rescue organization. The Rescue Bazaar is an LLC founded by an ardent supporter of volunteer efforts to benefit orphaned and rescued dogs. She is also the hotline operator and assistant to the Rescue Chairman for AHCA Rescue (the Afghan Hound Club of America).
How were we created?
Our founder had been selling items to raise funds for AHCA Rescue for several years, and during that time had been approached with requests and suggestions to expand the items offered and to provide similar fundraising services to other rescue groups. The effort eventually expanded to become a retail endeavor, offering certain rescue organizations the opportunity to participate in profits by referring buyers to “their” store.
How does it work?
Anyone can shop at The Rescue Bazaar. We contract with manufacturers and distributors to obtain products at a discounted price. Then, when you buy from us, we can share a portion of the proceeds from that sale with a participating Rescue organization of your choice.
How does a rescue organization participate?
We will consider requests for participation from “hands-on” rescue organizations only and such organizations must make application for inclusion. All decisions in that regard are made by us. An application for participation can be found here.
What does The Rescue Bazaar get for sharing profits with rescue organizations?
Participating rescue groups will market the site to their members and supporters, and provide home page links in return for being listed with The Rescue Bazaar site. And we get to feel good about helping you help orphaned dogs.
